Makeup Deconstructed is the brain child of two cousins who share a mutual love of all things beauty. Although we live thousands of miles apart, distance has not broken the special bond nurtured from a very young age. One has an ageless spirit and the other enamored with learning new things. One loves heels and the other rather keep it simple and comfortable. Through our unrelenting bond we wondered why not create a platform to share with others our mutual affinity for beauty – both in and out. As working mothers, we know how difficult it is to carve out time for ourselves. With that in mind, we hope that our reviews and simple tutorials will help you indulge in all your beauty pleasures.

My Concealer…hands down! I’m currently loving IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye anti-aging concealer in shade neutral medium.
Which do you prefer…lipstick or lip gloss?
I enjoy both, but for different seasons. I tend to wear more lip glosses for the spring/summer and matte lipsticks for fall/winter seasons.
Favorite YouTube makeup artist?
Monika Blunder (for day looks) and Desi Perkins (for evening looks)

I’m definetly more of a lip gloss kind of girl.

Penelope Cruz and all J.Crew models. I often wonder how can they can look so flawless with such minimal makeup.
